March: Speaking at Two Battery Recycling Conferences

Battery Solutions is proud to be presenting at two industry conferences in March 2017. The Facilities Healthcare Engineers Association (FHEA) Expo in Toledo, OH and Washington Recycles Every Day (WRED) Conference in Tacoma, WA. At each of these events we will cover how batteries are recycled, the legislation surrounding battery recycling and how to safely recycle your batteries – no matter what the volume or chemistry.

Join us on Wednesday, March 15 at 2 p.m. at the FHEA Expo to explore human health and environmental responsibilities and regulations surrounding battery recycling, which are rapidly changing. It’s time to not only take notice but act. Stay ahead of legal ramifications and public relations disasters by understanding how to properly recycle all batteries while thinking about how your organization can strive to become part of the circular economy and build a sustainability-based future.

Later in the month on Thursday, March 30 when we participate in a full day panel discussion at the WRED Conference where we will present two short videos. One is a virtual tour our facilities highlighting collection, sorting, disassembly, logistics and processing. The other video reviews lithium-ion battery safety in the wake of numerous fires seen on the news. It provides information on why lithium-ion batteries ignite, precautions around prevention and regulation of safe handling, storage and recycling.

UPDATED 7/1/20 – We are OPEN

As circumstances continue to shift, we want to keep you updated on our operation status. An increasing number of states are enacting protections like Michigan’s Stay Home, Stay Safe executive order, limiting operations for non-essential business and shifting many to work from home. As a critical supporter of waste collection, we support essential operations and contribute to the raw minerals supply chain. No matter your battery recycling needs, we are here to help in these unprecedented times. All online orders are being processed as normal but may see delayed shipping times due to the current demand on delivery service providers.

Both our Michigan and Arizona locations continue to operate sending collection solutions, as well as receiving batteries, while observing strict health and safety policies to keep our employees and their families healthy. If you have any questions about the status of your order, please contact our customer service team at or 800.852.8127
