Speaking at Two Major Industry Conferences
Battery Solutions is proud to be presenting at two major industry conferences in September 2016. The Battery Show in Novi, MI (also, exhibiting at booth 2327) and The 21st International Congress for Battery Recycling (ICBR) in Antwerp, Belgium about the current and future state of the battery recycling industry.
We will discuss the evolution and challenges in repurposing batteries during our presentation entitled Automatic grading of lithium-ion batteries – moving the recycling industry from lbs. to kWh. According to research firm Lux, second-life batteries will easily become a billion-dollar industry over the next 10 years. The volume that could be transferred from vehicles to the grid is big – over 1GWH.
This presentation will cover:
- How artificial intelligence can solve the supply chain problems in second use of batteries
- New methods for classifying batteries and detecting quality issues
- New applications enabled by second use of lithium-ion batteries
Join us on Thursday, September 15 at 1:30 p.m. (see Track 1: Automotive Battery Trends) at The Battery Show in Novi, MI to explore this billion-dollar future. Be sure to visit us at booth 2327 for an in-person discussion of battery second-life usage and recycling.
Across the pond in Belgium, our president and CEO, Thomas Bjarnemark will present on the evolution of the battery recycling industry with regards to intelligent battery sorting. Until recently, battery sorting has been a labor intensive manual effort. We are pioneering the intelligent sorting process in the U.S. by recording never before obtained information automatically. Intelligent sorting enables us to target the next level of grading lithium-ion batteries for repurposing, tapping into that billion-dollar second-life battery industry.
Join us on Thursday, September 15 at 4:00 p.m. at ICBR 2016 in Antwerp, Belgium to explore the future of battery sorting through the use of artificial intelligence.
